摘要
Objective: The study aimed to assess the extent of the relationship between peer support and the quality of life of people with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Method: A cross-sectional study involving 66 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Research data were collected using the Bahasa Indonesia version of the WHOQOL-HIV BREF with the SF -36 questionnaire domain and self -developed peer support questionnaire. The data were analyzed using a Chi-square test, and logistic regression test was used to evaluate the characteristics of respondents and peer support with quality of life. Results: This study found that peer support has a significant relationship with the quality of life of PLHIV (p 0.000; OR = 86.80) means respondents who do not get peer support are risky at 86.80 times to have less quality of life. Conclusion: Peer support and the environment have a more significant relationship to the quality of life of PLWHA if peer support groups provide mutual support on a regular and ongoing basis.
