Catalytic reactions of heterocycles: The hydrogenation of furan over palladium catalysts

摘要：
The hydrogenation of furan was studied over Pd/zirconia and Pd/alumina catalysts. A relationship between conversion and selectivity was observed. The Pd/alumina catalyst initially had no selectivity to THF. The surface carbonaceous deposit was found to unique to each catalyst.
