摘要
The paper focuses on the components of successful online learning and teaching environments. By following a socio-cultural perspective on learning, the author underlines the importance of teacher-student and student-student interaction and the role of small groups in efficient online learning. The paper presents the findings of a case study investigating how a previously offline university bachelor course, Drama Techniques in Teaching English as a Foreign Language I. was transformed to virtual space during the lockdown period in Slovakia in the winter term of the 2020/2021 academic year, at the J. Selye University, Faculty of Education, Komarno.
