摘要：
Our goal in this paper is to implement simple and new edge detection operator and compare its results with some edge detection algorithms, including the Roberts Cross, Sobel, and Canny Operators. The new operator divides the raw image into n x m areas, calculate the median value in each area if a pixel exceeds a threshold a new value of the pixel will be determined otherwise set it to 0. The new operator was applied to many synthetic and natural grey scale images.
