The Numerical Analysis of Influence on the Settlement of Adjacent Building Induced by the Deep Foundation Pit Excavation

Based on an Engineering Example, a numerical analysis model was established by finite difference program, and the settlement of adjacent building was simulated by computer which was induced by the deep foundation pit excavation, and the Change Law and specific values of Settlement were obtained. The simulation result was consistent with the test results. It shows that the method of numerical analysis can be used to the settlement prediction of adjacent building in the process of the deep foundation pit excavation, and it will provide the basis for the design and construction of practice project.
