Eco-friendly polyethylene glycol-400: a rapid and efficient recyclable reaction medium for the synthesis of thiazole derivatives

摘要
An efficient and convenient procedure for the synthesis of thiazole derivatives from alpha-haloketone, thiourea and substituted acetophenones using polyethylene glycol-400 as a green and recyclable solvent is described. Significant rate enhancement and improved yields have been observed.
