摘要
An analytical method for the stability analysis of beams on modified Vlasov foundation is developed. The governing differential equation of the beam is derived using variational principle. The dimensionless parameter gamma is obtained to be a function of the buckling mode shape of the beam. The buckling loads and the corresponding mode shape can be calculated by solving the eigenvalue problem. Furthermore, the proposed method is compared with the available analytical method based on the Winkler model.
