Research on the Measurement of China's Sustainable Development Based on the BP Network Model

Based on the trained BP network model, through building the index system of Chinese sustainable development, the measurement value of Chinese various regions' sustainable development from 1992 to 2007 were output in simulation in this paper. The results indicated that the level of Chinese most regions' sustainable development are in the middle-low and low category, and, the intergenerational and intra-generational equity of China's sustainable development showed a tendency to get worse. Therefore, most regions of China need to formulate the coordinated and balanced development strategies and solutions in the following aspects: transforming the mode of economic growth, promoting the development of the harmonious society, strengthening environmental protection and preventing over-exploitation of resources.
