摘要
In the autumn of 1921 Velimir Khlebnikov moved to Pyatigorsk where he experienced firsthand the catastrophic impact of the Volga River Basin Famine. He wrote many poems devoted to the famine, among them variants of a poem he titled, in a few cases, "Golod." Three of these variants have been published, six have not. All but one, a version published by Dmitrii Kozlov in 1927, are either unfinished fair copies or still very rough drafts. These poems are the target of the present essay, which attempts to outline the three major paths of development that the poem may have taken had Khlebnikov chosen to develop and complete the work.
