Experimental study of phase equilibria in the Nb-Ti-Al system

摘要
The phase equilibria of polycrystalline Nb-Ti-Al alloys were studied using neutron diffraction experiments. Results indicated strong influence of the alloy composition on the order-disorder transition of the metal. B2→A2 transition occurred at 1200 K (±5) for the composition Ti30-Nb55-Al15 (at.%) and occurred below 873 K for the close concentration Ti30-Nb60-Al10 (at.%). The transition temperature of Ti-rich composition Ti53-Nb20-Al27 (at.%) was higher at 1455 K (±5). These results were validated by cluster variation calculations.
