Thermal comfort analysis of PCM electric floor radiant heating system

摘要
An electric floor heating system with phase change material(PCM) was set up and operated in Shenyang Jianzhu University. This system can apply the electricity at night that may be much cheaper than that at daytime, so that the electric tariff may be lowered a lot and the electric load at daytime may not increase. The temperature of every point at different altitude and location in the experimental room were measured under two different temperature controlling conditions. The temperature distribution of PCM electric floor radiate. heating room was obtained. The temperature distribution in the room shows that the indoor air temperature fluctuation is minor and the temperature close to floor is higher than the upper space. On the basis of experimental data, a program was developed to calculate the PMV-PPD index for evaluating the thermal comfort of this system. The values of PMV-PPD indicate that the PCM electric floor heating system can provide thermal comfortable conditions. All the results testify the feasibility of application of the heating system widely.
