摘要
The design of industrial 3D product models involves multiple fields, spans numerous disciplines, and needs plenty of designers to participate in. In order to break the limit of designers' geographical separation and improve the efficiency of 3D design, a web system aiming at concurrently designing 3D models for distributed designers in different domains was developed. By introducing data replication technology, the system supports realtime collaboration and data consistency of the 3D operational scenes. By adopting the lock method, the system avoids the potential conflicts when distributed designers operate a same component at the same time. Through this system, multidisciplinary designers can contribute their domain knowledge conveniently to designing 3D industrial product models.
