Effects of processing on the sintering behavior microstructures, and properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 doped with ZrO2

摘要
Two different doping methods were used to study the effect of ZrO2 on the sintering behavior, microstructure, and properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO). For specimens of ZrO2-doped LSMO, it was found that the solubility of ZrO2 in LSMO is limited, so the properties are not much affected but the sintering behavior are influenced by the liquid phase of MnO2, the residue of ZrO2, and pore growth. For specimens of LSMZO, the significant substitution of Zr for Ti would reduce the densification rate, lower T-p and T-c, and. enhance magnetoresistance (MR). The mechanisms for the decrease of T-p and increase of MR are suggested. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
