摘要
Gonarthrosis is a common disease in orthopaedic praxis. The prevalence of osteoarthritis correlates with the increasing patient's age. This is a great problem for the public health system. A big number of epidemiological studies have evaluated some potential risk factor in development of osteoarthritis, but mostly circumstances in pathogenesis of the disease are still unclear. This study was aimed to acquire information about gonarthrosis associated factors and to evaluate circumstances for develop patients complaints. A total of 321 patients who had suffered from knee pain or an injury had undergone knee radiography. There was a 30.5% prevalence of Gonarthritis in x-rays. Only about 75% of the patients with radiological signs of osteoarthritis had suffered from former knee pain. With radiological osteoarthritis associated significantly factors were evaluated female gender, age of more than 50 years, obesity, and hyperuricaemia. The level of physical activity in profession and sports wasn't associated with the impact of radiological findings. Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages also did not influence the impact of radiological arthritic symptoms. An association between radiological signs of osteoarthritis and relevant complaints was only evaluated in obese patients and in smokers. The results suggests that radiological signs of osteoarthritis are significantly associated with some factors, but the etiology of gonarthrosis is general still unknown.
