摘要
The performance improvement by design and comparison of the components and control methods of a seven-stage coil gun through experiments is reported. When the projectile passes through the center of the solenoid coil, it receives in the opposite direction of the launch. To effectively deliver kinetic energy, the coil gun should be designed to deliver as much electromagnetic force as possible while accelerating in the direction of the launch. In the case of a multi-stage coil gun, precise discharge control is required because the projectile is moving at high speed. The coil gun was interpreted with ANSYS Maxwell, an electromagnetic analysis program. as comprising a physical contact method and an electronic control discharge circuit using Arduino to control the operation of the multi-stage coil gun, and the results were compared.
