Based on literature and data, system analysis, the article mainly tries to analyze the ideal of "Perfectionist Education". It lays equal emphasis on both physical and intellectual education, encouraged the prosperity of ancient Greek's athletic sports and meanwhile preserved its purity. Beginning with the contradictory relation between athletic sports and the perfectionism, it was found that it is the intrinsic contradiction between athletic sports and the perfectionism that yielded the Greek's unique athletic sports, with features like non-utilitarianism, non-professionalization and perfectionism. These features, for a long time helped preserve the purity of Greek's athletic sports. However, the sports' further development intensified its contradiction with the perfectionism so that the Greeks had to abandon perfectionism which in turn resulted in the loss of the unique features of their athletic sports, which lasted until Plato resolved the contradiction theoretically. Firstly, Plato distinguished athletic sports and general sports; secondly, he distinguished perfectionist and professionals. Thirdly, he advocated that the intellectual education weighs more than the physical education. It is the three points that allowed Plato to settle the opposition and contraction theoretically between Greek's athletic sports and perfectionist, which contributed to the sports' long-term significant development. The subsequent Greek's athletic sports, similar to the modem sports, developed rapidly with the strengthening of performance and professionalization, and it can be said that there are almost no differences between the ancient and Modern Greek's athletic sports.
