Study on the synthesis of polyacrolein o-carboxyl phenylhydrazone chelating resin and its adsorption properties

摘要
A new chelating resin containing o-carbxyl phenylhydrazone as functional group was synthesized through the reaction of o-carbxyl phenyl hydrazine chelating agent with the active aldehyde on the polymer matrix of macroporous acrolein-styrene copolymer. The structure of the poly-acrolein o-carbxyl phenylhydrazone resin was proved by means of the elementary analysis and the infrared (IR) spectra. Its adsorption properties toward noble metal ions were investigated through ICP-AES, showing that the resin can selectively adsorb gold, palladium and platinum, whose exchange capacities are 1.98, 0.31, 0.16 mmol(.)g(-1), respectively, for dry resin.
