The results of variety trials with winter oilseed rape in 2012/13 in the Slovakia

In season 2012/13 we established a varietal trials with winter rapeseed under semi-practical conditions at four localities in Slovakia - PD Agrocoop Hul (district Nove Zamky), PPD Prasice (d. Topolcany) Agroracio Liptovsky Mikulas (d. Liptovsky Mikulas) and Agrospol Kosice (d. Kosice - surroundings). We tested 31 cultivars - 24 hybrids and 7 lines. Best closed stand before winter had varieties Goya and DK Expower. Minimum losses of leaf area after the winter were evaluated by varieties: DK Exquisite, DK Expower, Kodiak, Ladoga a PR44D06. The highest yield achieved DK Exstorm (6.02 t/ha, 114 %), followed by Marathon (5.86 t/ha, 111 %) and SY Kolumb (5.78 t/ha, 109 %). Best of the lines was Sidney (5.62 t/ha, 106 %). The average yield of hybrids (5.34 t/ha) exceeded by 4 % the average of line varieties (5.13 t/ha).
