摘要
Hydroxyapatite (HA) powders were synthesized from eggshell wastes through hydrothermal method. The effect of pH during the synthesis were studied on the crystallite size, crystallinity and morphology of the as-synthesized HA. Formation of HA phase was confirmed for both samples after being calcined at 400 degrees C. The crystallite size of HA derived from eggshell increases with decreasing pH. The acidic condition resulting HA powder with spherical-shaped particles and elongated particles for HA powder which prepared by basic condition.
