摘要
Superhard aluminium alloy was modified by high frequency and low voltage plasma immersion and nitrogen ion implantation(HLPIII) in this paper. The effect of gas pressure effect on the structure and other properties of aluninium alloy were analyzed The elements and valence state, surface morphology, microhardness and wear resitstance were characterized by X-ray photoelectron(XPS), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), microhardness meter, CSEM pin- on- disk wear test apparatus respectively. The results showed that AlN hard phase can be obtained by nitride plasma implantation into superhard aluminium alloy with different gas pressure. The wear resistance of aluminium alloy has been enhanced by aluminum nitride and solid solution strengthening of nitrogen. The substrate soften, which resulted from the high temperature (300 degrees C similar to 400 degrees C) in the process of implantation, restricted the improvement of wear resitstance of aluminium alloy.
