摘要
The spatiotemporal structure of nonlinear low frequency waves in a magnetized plasma is studied. The m = 2 azimuthal mode exhibits clearly a rotating spiral structure when the diameter of the plasma column is smaller than the diameter of the containing tube. The measurement of the plasma potential profile leads to the conclusion that the magnitude and profile of the radial electric field are the leading parameters for the existence of this spiral structure.
