The characteristics of entropy generation due to heat transfer and friction has been revealed in transient state as well as in steady state for thermal micro-Couette flows in slip regime by solving numerically the mass, momentum and energy balance equations, with the aid of the lattice Boltzmann method. The investigated range is wide, the Knudsen, Prandtl and Eckert numbers varying from 0.01 <= Kn <= 0.1, 0.7 <= Pr <= 20 and 0.05 <= Ec <= 50 and their effects on irreversibility distribution are analyzed systemically for the first time.
