摘要
Nowadays the heat treated glass is widely used in civil engineering, automobile, space and marine applications due to its high strength properties in comparison with float glass. However, tempering leads to formation of residual stresses in glass which are often/commonly omitted in structural analysis of the glass. The aim of the current study is to determine experimentally residual stresses in tempered glass and to develop an advanced finite element simulation model for structural analysis of tempered glass utilizing measured residual stresses.
