摘要
The present work marks the adaptation of the Bulgarian stage in the last two theater seasons in the context of its increased presence on the world stage. The focus is in particular on the adaptation of Dostoevsky's novel and priority, interpreted through different creative styles and approaches. In these examples, directors are the authors of the dramaturgical and the theatrical adaptation and are therefore considered in direct connection. Reflections of adaptation to the new theories about the text and the viewer in the theater are touched. Some processes of change in the adaptation practices have been identified, which diverge the stage version from the source text and lead to its complete deconstruction in the post-drama theater. In its final forms, the use of original author's text was taken beyond the "adaptation" and problematizes the term in its previous understanding.
