摘要
Medicinal plants play an important role in preventing and treating of human diseases. The number of symptoms, diseases, and medicinal plants is very important. Moreover, several symptoms can be treated with the same plant. Deciding about the appropriate medicinal plant is then a complex task. This paper proposes a rule-based decision support system to identify the medicinal plants that best treat their diseases and associated symptoms. The proposed decision support system is based on the use of a multidimensional user model that represents personal information of the patient, his/her allergies and chronic diseases. Experimentations of the decision support system show satisfactory results. Indeed, the obtained results give 83% of well-identified medicinal plants.
