摘要
The effect of ion implantation on the oxidation behaviour of a powder metallurgy Ni3Al in the 635-1.020 degrees C range is studied. The work is carried out by discontinuous thermogravimetry tests in aluminium, chromium and cerium implanted materials as well as in the non implanted intermetallics. The oxidation kinetics and characterization of scale are evaluated, The results show that the chromium implanted material exhibits the best oxidation behaviour lip to 930 degrees C, This ion favours the fast formation of a healing (Cr,Al)(2)O-3 layer. The Al-implantation does not improve the oxidation behaviour of the intermetallics whereas Ce-implantation produces a harmful effect. At temperatures above 930 degrees C the non-implanted material shows the lower mass-gains.
