摘要
Collaboration between scholars in Computer and Social Sciences is focusing on intelligent computer systems that can promote team functioning, in hybrid human-machine teams. In order to do that, these systems need to be able to sense group phenomena, such as emergent states, and to devise appropriate strategies of intervention. Among emergent states, group potency - the confdence of the group that it can be efective - is well known to be linked to group efectiveness. This PhD project aims to investigate group potency nature and to provide a computational model to capture its dynamics. This will pave the way towards designing an appropriate intervention strategy to increase group potency and foster group efectiveness.
