摘要
Silver nanoparticles (SNPs) were synthesized by employing the aqueous extract of Clitoria ternatea pods as reducing agent. The formation of SNPs was confirmed by a characteristic peak at 418 nm observed in UV-Vis spectrum. Spherical SNPs with few agglomerations were noticed in SEM image. EDS showed elemental silver peak at 3 keV. The crystallinity was confirmed from a strong peak in XRD at 38.58 degrees. The presence of biomolecules was ascertained by specific bands in FTIR spectra. The stability was corroborated by the zeta potential value of -24.6 mV. The first order kinetic constant for the degradation methylene blue was calculated as 0.1448 min(-1). (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd.
