摘要
The measurements of interfacial tension and surface area per molecule at the air/aqueous solution interface as a function of pH in the pH range of 1-7 were performed. The model of palmitic acid dimer formation in the monolayers at the air/aqueous solution interface is presented. Depending on pH of subphase, molecules of palmitic acid form monomers or dimers at the interface. On the base of the model, values of area per molecule, interfacial tension for palmitic acid monomer and dimer were calculated. The constant of dimerisation was also determined.
