摘要
The LQAC-5 is a recent compilation of catalogues of quasars, mainly devoted to their most accurate astrometric measurements. In the same time, Gaia DR2 and EDR3 releases have revolutionized the astrometric quality of respectively more than 1.3 and 1.8 billion celestial objects. Therefore, this paper is directed towards the analysis of the quantitative and qualitative differences of performance between the DR2 and EDR3 data concerning the LQAC-5 quasars found in common in the two Gaia releases. After showing the significant increase of the number of EDR3 with respect to DR2 measurements for each astrometric item in the 5 parameters solution (2-dimension position, parallax, and 2-dimension proper motion) as well as in the photometric field, we study the EDR3 w.r.t. DR2 differences of the equatorial coordinates together with their respective level of uncertainty. Then we show how EDR3 data improves the quality of measurements concerning both parallax and proper motions. In particular we investigate how EDR3 leads to more convincing assertion than DR2, that quasars represent quasi-inertial objects with no significant parallax and proper motion.
