摘要
The internationalization of higher education is considered an emerging theme in the context of globalization, as it is verified that universities are moving towards the development of this culture. Therefore, the objective of this study is to present the mapping of studies on the theme of internationalization, in the academic context, through a bibliometric study. The question that guided the survey was: what are the analytical and thematic trends of the studies published, in the last four years, on internationalization in the Brazilian university context? For that, we used a data collection protocol that started with the search for articles published between 2014 and 2018, on the Capes Periodical Portal, signaled by the internationalization and university strings. After the exclusion criteria, of the 81 mapped articles, 22 were selected and classified into six approaches. In view of the above, there is a variation in what is now understood by internationalization and writing practices aimed at the academic context.
