摘要
The subject of the gardens of the Middle Ages, from the 11th to the beginning of the 14th century, remains infrequently studied in France. The iconographic sources are almost inexistent and the image given by the texts are somewhat fuzzy. But the abundant vocabulary which designates the garden shows its importance in the landscape as well as in daily life. To some extent, it seems that flora, furniture and other constituents of the garden have a lot in common with those of the 14th and the 15th centuries.
