摘要
The field of metal phosphonate chemistry is expanding at a rapid rate. In the past two years many new structure types have been prepared and characterized. These include layered and linear compounds, porous materials and new complexants. The phosphonate group may be functionalized after reaction with the metal or contain functional groups prior to reaction with the metal. This flexibility creates opportunities to design compounds with specific properties.
