On-line information sources of toxicology in Finland

wToxicology is relatively young as an independent discipline in Finland as in most other countries. Toxicology gradually evolved at universities as a part of pharmacology during 1960-1970s. The research institutes, with the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health being a pioneer in this respect, have contributed significantly in special research areas. The current paper highlights Finnish toxicology, and concentrates on the current status of sources of digital information and their use. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
