As a broad-spectrum antibiotic, tetracycline (TC) has a wide range in the treatment of diseases and feed addi-tives. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is becoming more and more popular in terms of electrochemical sensing. So as to improve the sensitivity, AuNPs@MoS2 is coated on the electrode surface by combining with chitosan (Ch) to improve the conductivity. Under optimized conditions, this assay has high sensitivity and excellent lin-ear response for detection TC. That covers the 1-1000 mu M and 5-1100 mu M tetracycline (TC) concentration range with a 0.41 mu M limit of detection. In addition, the sensor may become a promising new strategy for detecting tetracycline in milk samples. This study develop an unusual analytical chemistry method for the development of various challenging electrochemical sensors.
