摘要：

The interaction of intense (10(15) <I<10(17) W/cm(2)) subpicosecond (0.1<t<0.5 ps) normally incident laser pulses with solid targets is investigated. Target material heating, redistribution of the absorbed energy in the target, plasma creation and shock wave generation are investigated.
