PolyADP-ribose polymerase-1 (PARP-1) is a molecule linked to aging-associated processes such as DNA repair, telomere maintenance, and apoptosis. It is beingtargeted by drug companies who are manufacturing PARP inhibitors for conditions such as heart attack and melanoma.
