Optimization of HPLC separation by computer-assisted optimization methods - Comparison of three methods

摘要
Optimization methods assist the chromatographer to obtain good separation with minimal time and effort. The studied 13 biogenic amines were difficult to separate, so an efficient optimization method was required. Three different computer-assisted programs were used to optimize the separation of amines by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Two of the programs, DryLab and EluEx, are commercially available software. The PRISMA program is currently under development. Each of the methods were useful in developing an HPLC method for the amines. Especially when the PRISMA and DryLab programs were combined the whole optimization process was very effective.
