摘要：
The science of burns is essentially the study of the response to injury. Burns teach us that it is amazing what the human body can tolerate. It has been well documented that burns are the "ultimate" insult and the body's response is the most profound of any other injury or illness. Understanding how the body deals with this response to injury is fascinating. How the body heals in response to this severe insult is also fascinating.
