摘要：

A realistic model of a system composed of two adherends joined together by a bonding layer is discussed. Perfect contact and several kinds of imperfect contact rat the interface are defined. A formalism for the treatment of the ultrasonic wave propagation in the three-layered medium is then discussed and a simple application concerning Stoneley waves in the bonding layer is presented in the case of negligible thickness of the adhesive layer.
