A performance criterion for anti-windup compensators

摘要
The importance of anti-windup compensation in control systems with saturations has long been recognized in applications. However, recently, attention has been directed to analysis of such compensators from a rigorous mathematical viewpoint. In this paper, a performance criterion is derived in terms of frequency domain inequality for the anti-windup compensator filter. In particular, the criterion shows why a low order anti-windup filter is often sufficient.
