摘要
In continuous casting, the distributing tundish is now considered as a metallurgical reactor with the task of improving the cleanliness of steel. Its ability to perform metallurgical functions such as dissolution, homogenization, inclusion flotation mainly depends on the flow conditions of the liquid steel passing through it. To study and optimize the steel flow in various tundishes, water modelling has been used. The principle of this physical modelling and the tests performed for its validation are described, Finally, the results of a steel flow optimization study, having as objective to improve the surface quality of stainless steels, are presented.
