摘要
An improved analytical method was used for the quantification of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in carbon blacks, cured rubber compounds and tire treads. This method involves fluidized-bed extraction prior to clean up and analysis of PAH by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry applying the isotope dilution principle. It was demonstrated that the PAH profile in the extracts is strongly dependent on the type of carbon black, extender oil and resin as well as on the extraction solvent employed. In an additional migration study it was also shown that the chemical structure and the solubility of PAH in different simulants substantially influence the migration of PAH from rubber compounds.
