摘要
Environmental vibrations are increasingly drawing attention of people in modem society. Protecting built-in areas from exposures to detrimental effects due to the man-made sources is desired. Herein, an attempt has been made to develop effective vibration reduction measures in ground-WEB against the vibrations as induced from traffic and machine operation. The present WEB utilizes the scattering of waves by stiff cell-walls and energy dissipation of fill-in tire shreds for damping mechanism. This paper demonstrates the field test results to prove that the proposed WEB are more effective than conventional types of wave barriers.
