摘要
Measurement of glutathione S-transferase (GST) activity in normal and malignant cells and tissues was performed in the form of comparative study. The results of this study may be fundamental for further analysis of the influence of different pro-oxidants and antitumour drugs on examined cells and organs. Determined levels of GST specific activity may indicate that antioxidative capacity and protective potential of malignant cells are decreased in comparison with normal cells and tissues, with the important exception that malignant cells possess the ability of enzyme induction in conditions of oxidative stress.
