摘要
The reliability of a reinforced concrete bridge designed according to the Eurocodes with respect to the serviceability limit states of crack width is analyzed using probabilistic methods of structural reliability. The time dependent deterioration of the bridge with time due to the uniform and pitting corrosion is analyzed considering a selected bridge. The initial reliability of the bridge with respect to the crack width seems to satisfy the required target level recommended in EN 1990, but the reliability index significantly decreases with the reduction of the area of reinforcement caused by corrosion. The probabilistic methods of structural reliability are proposed to be used in the assessment of the crack width limits and the remaining working life of existing bridges.
