摘要
It is important to guarantee adjustable speed drives duty performance, especially for some critical loads. As adjustable speed drives (ASD) based on modem power electronics components and PWM inverters are susceptible to power disturbance, the development of relevant ride-through system becomes necessary. In this paper, a novel ride-through system is constructed on the method of battery-based dynamic dc-link voltage regulator technology(BDVR). This system presents multifunction ride-through ability against various power quality disturbances, such as voltage sags, voltage swells, voltage outages, etc. Furthermore, it can improve the cycle life of the onboard battery bank system, because only parts not whole battery cells are required to put into operation during most power disturbances which endure just a few cycles to a few seconds long A self-tuned DC-DC converter and a smart and reliable battery energy management system supports BDVR ride-through system.
