摘要
The majority of smokers in Germany has a low motivation for quitting smoking. As an alternative for tobacco cessation, tobacco consumption can be reduced. The present work presents a systematic overview of the current evidence on the effects of psychological interventions for reducing tobacco consumption. It is shown that, despite heterogeneous results, psychological interventions are able to reduce the consumption of tobacco across different samples short term and long term. Among others, interventions based on advice and motivational interviewing showed promising results.
