This series of articles presents the use of computer programs in university teaching of building physics and building services engineering for architects and civil engineers. In this article, the motivation for the article series and the results of an online survey to the lecturers of German-speaking universities, initiated and conducted by the Department of Building Physics and Building Services Engineering of the University of Wuppertal, are listed.
