On the effect of composition on the Judd-Ofelt parameters of Sm3+-doped chalcogenide glasses

摘要
The GexGa5Se95-x glasses, where x = 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 29.17, and 30, all doped with 1 wt% of samarium were prepared and studied. The compositional dependences of Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters of Sm3+ ions in studied glasses were evaluated and discussed in relation with the structure, bond covalency, bulk properties, and rigidity of the glassy matrix.
